Meraki Journey

FAQ

What does Meraki mean?

Meraki is a Greek word that happens when you do something with so much passion that you put a piece of your soul, creativity, and love into your work. You put a piece of yourself into your work and the love and happiness shows.

Where are your products made?

We hand make our bracelets right here in the US. Even our beads are hand rolled here in Chicago.

How do you put the element in the bead?

Before the clay is rolled into a bead we infuse the element. The rock fragments and salt grains are sometimes too large and can cause problems when we pierce the hole in the bead. To prevent this we pulverize the rock and salt so that it is a fine grain, similar to sand. The elements are sprinkled onto each individually cut clay piece. The clay is then rolled into a ball and a hole is then pierced through the middle and then baked to harden it up.

How do I know which bead has which element in it?

Each bead containing an element is stamped near the bead hole. Each order comes with a key card that matches the stamp with the coordinating bead for an easy way to locate the different elements.

How durable are the bracelets?

The bracelets are very durable. You can take them on all your adventures. They will hold up just fine in pools, salt water, and any other journey you take them on.

Is there any kind of warranty?

If a bracelet breaks we can definitely get it fixed for you as long as most of the beads are not lost. If you lose a bracelet there is unfortunately nothing we could do about that. All bracelets come with a 1 year free restring warranty. After the 1 year mark there will be a $11 restring fee for stretch bracelets which covers the restring and return shipping.

What is your return policy?

If the bracelet doesn't fit you can exchange or return it within 15 days from the time you received the bracelet.

Do you ship internationally?

Yep! In your shopping cart you will be able to see a drop down menu of countries we currently ship to. We are not responsible for any international customs tax charges. We recommend checking your countries taxing policies before placing an order. Most countries won't tax on low value items but we recommend checking just to make sure.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping to the US takes on average 3-4 days. International shipping takes about 2 weeks on average. Depending on your countries customs it can take up to 5 weeks.
